Delivery for Residential and Off-Grid Container Homes
Our starting prices shown on each floor plan do not include delivery and installation costs. These costs are calculated using our “Quote Builder” form or by providing the required information below for an estimate. It’s crucial to enter the correct zip code to ensure accurate delivery distance calculation from Butler, MO. If you choose to use the “Quote Builder” form, you’ll see a line item on the quote showing the cost for delivery and installation upon completion.
Our standard installation includes welding the container to the steel embed plates in the foundation, sealing any seams, and utility connections between containers for multi-container homes. Once the home is complete, we will conduct a final walkthrough and cleaning. The final utility connections will be the responsibility of your general contractor.
Our standard delivery includes accessing your property and foundation location with our semi-truck and tilt bed trailer. Please keep in mind that our semi-truck and trailer are approximately 70 feet long, requiring ample maneuvering space. Once we turn into your driveway, the ground needs to be solid and compacted to prevent getting stuck. It’s crucial that we can back up to your foundation, tilt the trailer up, and drive out from under the home.
If your site does not meet all the requirements for standard delivery and installation, rest assured. We have extensive experience navigating more challenging sites. In most cases, special equipment, such as a crane, may be required to complete the installation, especially if we need to pick the containers up off the trailer(s) and place them on the foundation or negotiate a steep grade. If you have any questions or hesitations, we would be happy to schedule a site visit. During the site visit, we can determine the level of complexity and what special equipment will be needed so that you can be prepared for any additional costs.
We aim to avoid surprises arising once we arrive on-site because having to deliver bad news about potential delays or additional costs is something no one likes. Most site visits range from $1,000.00 to $1,500.00, depending on your location. We strongly believe in site visits, so we are willing to credit back half of the site inspection fee to your container home purchase when you sign your contract.
Delivery for Commercial Projects
Our delivery process is designed to be hassle-free for you. We handle everything from building and installing your project to supplying the truck, trailer, and tools for safe transport.
Complete project delivery: For each commercial project, we collaborate with the owner/general contractor to arrange delivery of the container(s) to your job site and coordinate the crane for placement. Once installed, our team completes the agreed-upon finishing touches, ensuring your project is ready for inspection when we leave.
Since every project is unique, we’ll work with you upfront to clarify CCL’s responsibilities within the installation process.
